Absolutely charming roses.
This is my Paul de Longpre.

~ Treat your roses well, and they will delight you for years with
their fragrance and color.
In colder climates, they need to be shielded from the ravages of
winter. In all climates, they need diligent protection from the pests
and diseases that can mar their beauty ~

My granddaughter Kelly is an artist
and she painted a cat on this old chair.

Here is a recipe so you can make your own
Insecticide Soap, safe on roses.
It's a contact insecticide against soft-bodied and sucking insects like aphids, leafhoppers, mites, spider mites,
whiteflies, scale, thrips, mealybugs. You can make your own soap. Do test spray on a few leaves,
and wait a couple of days to check for signs of injury. Never use the soap on ferns or nasturtiums.
Ingredients: Pure Bar Soap Soft Water
Make the spray by dissolving 1 teaspoonful of pure bar soap shavings in 1/8 cup of boiling
softened water. Hard water is not effective. Soften hard water by straining it through peat moss.
Once the soap is dissolved, add 7/8 cup of soft water to make a full cup of the spray. If you want
to make a larger batch, the ratio is 1 part shaved soap to approximately 50 parts water.
~ A life with love will have some thorns,
but a life without love will have no roses ~

~ Time brings roses ~
~ The rose speaks of love silently,
in a language known only to the heart ~
